If you found me following a link on Julia's page, welcome and thanks for dropping by. This is more an online journal than a blog, and the navigation is different from what you're probably used to with blogs. You'll figure it out.
Yes, the little sidebar picture-of-the-month here is homemade knitting needles like the pair I sent Julia. I'm having a good time making them. I'm not really sure what to do with them. I'm thinking, offer to trade them for yarn from people's stashes. I haven't figured it all out, but there's a big picture and writeuphere.
The first time I was linked by a knitblogger (Theresa, who writes for Knitty) I wrote a page to introduce myself. Rather than bookmark this page, which would probably get you a permalink right back here, please follow this one and bookmark it. It should always get you the latest entry (which is what you expect when you go to a blog site, right? My monthly calendar pages will give you titles (when I can think of them, unlike today's entry) and a list of images included, so you can avoid image-intensive pages if you wish, or find one you want to come back to.
Otherwise you might find this a little cryptic. It was late last Tuesday night.
Klez, trash night, sticky-backed a sheet of cushion (18 x 44 inch sheet, that is -- it takes two 9-inch wide strips of double-sticky tape), sanded the stamp mounts I cut yesterday, spread three 40-lb sacks of topsoil on the front yard (I hesitate to call it a lawn at this point)
My thumb has had a twitch for half the day. Fortunately I did get to speak to a doctor about it. The flautist in Klezmer band is a physician. He asked if I had had caffeine today. Yes, more than usual. That'll explain it.
