I have a lot of pictures to process and post and a lot I&#8217;d like to write if I ever get around to it. To summarize, I<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>went to the edge of a volcano crater that was too foggy to see<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/no_poas_view.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>tasted a raw coffee bean<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/coffee_on_the_bush.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>walked among butterflieshistop&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/arlene_w_mariposas.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>saw people packing bananas that had just come in from the field<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/bananas_on_trolley.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>rode on a bus for 2 kilometers on a road flooded six inches deep<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/after_2_days_of_rain.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>saw sloths, monkeys, crocodiles, caimans, lizards, and two dozen kinds of birds I had never heard of a month ago<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/croc.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/iguana.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/caiman_eyes.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>walked along the beach on the Caribbean and the Pacific shores<\/li>\n<li>changed boats in the middle of a river (I&#8217;m convinced the first boat broke down because the driver slammed it into reverse when he saw a jaguar swimming across the river)<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/changing_boats.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>saw acres and acres of pineapple fields &#8212; I&#8217;m not worried about the supermarket running out of pineapples for us to buy<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/enough_pineapples.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>(illegally) crossed the border into Nicaragua<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/in_nicaragua.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>walked on suspension bridges 50 meters above the rain forest<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/suspension_bridge.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>got a cha-cha lesson (all right, a group lesson) from the winner of a TV dance contest show<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rollingonone.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2010\/01\/dance_instructors.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you haven&#8217;t noticed the latest couple of items on my twitter feed, I&#8217;m back from ten days of a trip to Costa Rica.
