On our way home from Bar Harbor we swung all the way around the western lobe of Mount Desert Island (for those of you who’ve never been there, most people pronounce it “de-SERT”, more like “what’s for dessert”, but the film at the visitor center said either way is OK.) We stopped for a brief look at this lighthouse, which is at the southernmost point of the island.<\/p>\n
